Pepper and salt need different mills
Our heavy pepper grinder has an anodized aluminum body and a CNC430 steel burr that turns out a lot of pepper in a few twists. It is made for peppercorns and dry spices. Salt goes in the salt grinder, whose pentagonal burr is built for crystals. The set puts one of each on a stand, with 12 grind settings.
When a mill is not enough
For guacamole, pesto, curry pastes and whole spices, the granite mortar and pestle does what no mill can. It holds 4 cups, is cut from one piece of unpolished granite and is heavy enough to stay still while you grind.

No. Salt is corrosive to the pepper burr. Use the salt grinder, or the salt mill of the mill set.
